CTA Thrive Coach website and public pages

Version 2026-10 · Effective 30 October 2026 · Applies to https://ctathrivecoach.co.za, https://learn.ctathrivecoach.co.za and every public page, form and channel of CTA Thrive Coach.

In short

  • These Terms of Service apply to everyone who visits or uses our public website and pages, whether or not you have an account.
  • If you create an account, enrol or buy anything, our Terms & Conditions also apply. They include our no-refund policy and the fact that we do not guarantee a pass.
  • Information on our website is general and does not guarantee any result (clauses 4 and 5). Our liability is limited (clause 11).

1. Who we are

The website is operated by CTA Thrive Coach (Pty) Ltd, trading as CTA Thrive Coach (“Thrive”, “we”, “us”), a private company incorporated in South Africa, of Honeydew Ridge, ROODEPOORT, Gauteng 2169, South Africa. You can contact us at info@ctathrivecoach.co.za or +27 81 313 9321. The other information that section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 requires is set out in clause 2 of our Terms & Conditions.

2. Agreeing to these Terms of Service

2.1 By visiting or using the website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2.2 Accounts and purchases. Creating an account on the CTA Thrive Coach Learning Hub, enrolling in a programme, booking a session or buying any product is governed by our Terms & Conditions, which you accept at sign-up and before you pay. If these Terms of Service and the Terms & Conditions conflict on those matters, the Terms & Conditions apply.

2.3 If you are under 18, you may browse the website, but a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf before you register, enrol or buy anything.

3. Using the website

You may use the website for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes: to learn about Thrive and our programmes, to contact us, to register and to buy. You may not:

  • use the website in a way that breaks any law, or infringes anyone's rights;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or any account, or interfere with their security or operation — conduct that may be an offence under the Cybercrimes Act 19 of 2020;
  • copy, scrape, frame, mirror or extract content or data from the website by automated means, or reverse-engineer any part of it;
  • upload or send viruses, harmful code, spam or unsolicited advertising;
  • impersonate anyone, or falsely claim a connection with Thrive; or
  • post or send anything unlawful, defamatory, offensive, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights.

4. Information on the website

4.1 The content of the website — programme descriptions, articles, videos, study tips, timetables and prices — is general information to help you decide whether Thrive is right for you. It is not professional, legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and it does not take your personal circumstances into account.

4.2 We try to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that every item is complete, current or free of errors. Programme details, schedules and prices may change. The details that apply to you are those shown when you enrol or pay.

4.3 Thrive is an independent exam-coaching provider. We are not a university or registered higher-education institution, we do not award qualifications, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by SAICA or any other professional or examining body, unless we say so in writing. Names of those bodies and their qualifications are used only to describe what our programmes help students prepare for.

5. Results, testimonials and no guarantee

5.1 We teach students how to study and how to approach their exams. A student's result depends on their own effort, preparation and circumstances. We do not guarantee that any student will pass any exam or achieve any mark.

5.2 Testimonials, reviews, success stories and pass rates on the website are the real experiences of individual students, or our own records for a given period. They do not predict or promise what you will achieve.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 The website and everything on it — text, graphics, logos, images, videos, documents, the CTA Thrive Coach name and brand, and the software — belong to us or our licensors, and are protected by the Copyright Act 98 of 1978, the Trade Marks Act 194 of 1993 and other laws.

6.2 You may view the website and print or download single pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep all copyright notices. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent. You may link to our home page in a fair and lawful way that does not suggest any endorsement by us.

7. What you send us

7.1 When you complete a contact or enquiry form, send us a message, subscribe to updates, or leave a review or comment, you confirm that what you send is accurate, lawful and your own, and that you are entitled to share any personal information about other people that it contains.

7.2 You allow us to use your enquiry to respond to you, and to publish your review or testimonial (with your first name or initials, unless you agree otherwise) on our website and in our marketing. We may edit it for length or clarity without changing its meaning, and may decline or remove any review in line with our guidelines and the law.

7.3 Response times. We aim to reply to enquiries within 2 business days during office hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 SAST, excluding public holidays). Clause 16 of our Terms & Conditions sets out our full response targets.

8. Privacy and cookies

8.1 We process personal information you give us, or that we collect when you use the website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy. We use it to respond to you, to provide and improve our website and programmes, to understand how visitors and students use our services so that we can better help them, and, only with your consent, to send you marketing. We do not sell your personal information.

8.2 We use essential cookies to make the website work and, with your consent, analytics cookies to improve it. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and change your choice at any time.

8.3 You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to its processing, or withdraw consent, by contacting our Information Officer at info@ctathrivecoach.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

9. Third-party links and services

The website may link to, or use, services operated by others — such as PayFast, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Google and third-party stores. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

10. Availability and security

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. It may be unavailable because of maintenance, power or internet outages, or problems with providers we rely on. We take reasonable measures to keep the website secure, but cannot guarantee that it is free of viruses or other harmful components. Please use up-to-date security software.

11. Limitation of liability

11.1 To the extent the law allows, the website is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or its content, or from your reliance on information on it. This includes indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, and loss of income or opportunity.

11.2 Nothing in these Terms of Service limits our liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other law that cannot be limited or excluded.

12. Indemnity

You indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal costs) that arises because you breached these Terms of Service or used the website unlawfully, except to the extent that the loss was caused by our own fault.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version and effective date at the top show which version applies. Changes take effect when published, and your continued use of the website after that means you accept them.

14. Governing law and disputes

14.1 These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@ctathrivecoach.co.za so that we can try to resolve it.

14.2 You keep your rights to approach the National Consumer Commission, the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, the Information Regulator or a court with jurisdiction.

15. General

If any part of these Terms of Service is found invalid, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not give it up. These Terms of Service, with our Privacy Policy and, where they apply, our Terms & Conditions, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the website.
